I was sickened when you said you didnt love me
Sickened because I knew it wasnt true.
I knew from the beginning it was love.
The feeling was too strong not to be real,
Too strong to be lust.
It scared me when you said you were letting me go,
Scared me because I couldnt stop you.
I was angry at you for giving up so easily.
I kept thinking youd change your mind,
Maybe youd realize you loved me.
My tears dried soon after I thought it was over,
My heart no longer broken.
Then I realized I couldnt turn my back,
I couldnt give up hope.
I picked up the pieces and
Now here we are to try again.
The love is there,
Strong as ever.
You said last night
You think we can last.
Lets try for forever.
